anyone having problems setting up their iphone with gmail?
I’ve been trying for 2 days to set up gmail on the iphone.
it would first ask if it was ok to not use SSL. After I clicked yes
then it would say imap.gmail.com is not responding.
I called apple customer support but they couldn’t help much. we all thought [...]

Took a bit of research but I am happy to report that I have sucessfully built a computer from scratch capable of running OS X (a Hackintosh). Before i list my build plan, i’ll just give a few pros and cons to the whole affair.
Pros:
Get a imac for about half the price depending on what [...]

google just came out with a new browser.
its pretty slick, quick, and small memory footprint so it won’t hog resources like firefox. but its got quite a few security flaws at the moment, so don’t use it for anything important just yet.
lots of potential. very clean interface, with a all-purpose-url bar. takes a bit of [...]

Is it possible to miss something you never had?
“no. you miss the hope. solider on.”
“is she worth it?”
yes and no. Yes she is undeniably worth it. No she’s not worth it if she doesn’t reciprocate.
going to hawaii changed nothing at all?
nothing. other than remind me of places i wish i could show her.
It is a [...]

Those of you who know me know that I tend to change personal direction alot. This is because when I see something I don’t like about myself, I try to change it. and i usually see alot about myself that could be improved on.
I discovered quite early on that being too nice is no good. [...]

if there’s anything i’m pedantic about, its a clean toilet (among other things).
I just went out and spent at least $60 on cleaning solutions/mops/domestic wipes/carpet vacuum powder etc.
Call me crazy, but walking into a clean house that smells good makes life seem alot better.
I bought this book called Speed Cleaning
from borders last year and i’ve [...]

I’ve been spending so much time offline the past holiday that i’ve honestly forgotten how awesome the internet can be.I’m rediscovering digg so expect frequent diggs above. for some reason i got stuck on that “ 80-year-old church leader impregnates brother’s wife” story for the past few months…
i’ve also been revisiting the joys of web 2.0. [...]

I’m using ADSL 2 right now, which is the fastest internet connection i’ve ever had the pleasure of abusing, but even now i don’t have an “unlimited” download plan. not because it costs too much, but because such a plan doesn’t exist.
more here
basically it has to do with australia not owning its own transcontinental cables [...]

ubuntu 7.10 (code name: Gutsy Gibbon) is coming! i’ve installed ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn (don’t you just love the release names!) so i’m dual booting it with windows. it is really easy and painfree to use. does EVERYTHING for you, from hardware driver detection to even [...]

As you can see, i’ve been experimenting lately with a flickr alternative, zooomr.
the one thing that really bothers me about flickr is that for free accounts they only let you create 3 photo sets (otherwise known as photo “albums”).
whats the big deal? well that means you can’t sort out your photos by event. which means [...]

i’ll say it. norton anti virus is fucking bullshit for the following reasons.
it doesn’t detect the stuff you need it to. remember the internet worms in 2004? for example, the sasser worm? remember how of all the solutions your friends did for you, none of them involved norton anti virus?
when it does happen [...]
