some films which i have never seen that i plan on watching in the coming weeks (not necessarily new ones) in order of priority.
Will Smith’s Ray that wasn’t to be (in the Oscar sense). I LOVE will smith. and i love Ali. so its a wonder i haven’t watched this yet..
2. Juno
At first i thought this would be a Knocked Up clone, but it started getting Oscar mentions and I started taking notice.
To be very honest, if not for the Oscar hype and the awesome ratings its getting on metacritic, i wouldn’t even consider watching this one. something about cow boy hats in contemporary times that turns me off…
Mark Walhberg is my new Vin Disel - these days anything with him in it immediately becomes a must-see.
Wes Anderson + feel good plot + Cinematography = worth watching
6. The Bank Job
Jason Stratham. A Bank heist. that’s all i need to know before i hand over my money.
7. Rendition
Very relevant legal, social and political themes, especially after that Human Rights course i took. Looks to me like a toned down version of syrianna.
I’ve seen Juno (great movie if you like Ellen Page’s quirky acting), The Darjeeling Limited (same style as Royal Tenebaums) and Rendition was so-so. BUT No Country for Old Men is AWESOME!
no no no no ronny. do not even give No Country For Old Men a chance. one of the most horrible oscar-winning films ever. like, WTFFFF?????!!!!!! sorry linda, i’m glad you managed to see the good in it though :)
but juno — 100 thumbs up! 5 claps on the RONNYNN okay-meter.
