i’m having a really BAD UNUSUALLY LARGE ULCER ON THE BACK MY THROAT SO I CAN’T EAT WELL, SLEEP WELL, OR SPEAK WELL.
not that i’ve been doing any of that anyway.
physical manifestations of emotional turmoil? not too sure.
i went to the pharmacy and dropped $30 on anything that said “ulcer” on it. and i’m using it all.

…as she turned around again and walked away, tearing something out of me and smashing it on the ground as she left.
it is amazing how human emotions work. that God decided to let us be able to feel such tearing, searing pain inside, without any physical damage being done.
at least with physical damage comes the understanding of the pain and why it has occurred and the sound knowledge that most likely, eventually, that pain will go away. but in causality, that lack of connection with the physical world and the lack of assurance of a healing date makes emotional distress feel that much worse; that much irreparable.
the sadness magnified by the knowledge that before, things were far from this. in anger we say and do things that are not us? but if we are not ourselves in anger, then who are we? who is to say when our anger is or is not a part of us - of who we are.
It is quite amazing, when you think about it, the dramatic amount of pain we are capable of inflicting on another, both intentionally and unintentionally. through words or actions.
i wonder why we have this ability.
is it because only through being given the choice to inflict damage can we be given the choice to be kind? because without cruelty there can be no kindness?
or is it so that we can demonstrate that rare trait known as “forgiveness”? because how can there be anything to forgive if there was no wrong done to us. but if so, how come our forgiveness can be then so often misinterpreted with scorn and skepticism, dismissed as flippant and disingenuous.
i don’t know. but i guess nothing is ever really fair.

you know how sometimes when you make a sandwich, you feel like its missing something?
well. i have discovered the secret of the perfect sandwich.
but you must have faith.
are you ready to hear this?

Lettuce.
The secret is lettuce.
whether you love lettuce or not, just put it in your next sandwich. whether its tuna, cheese, salami, ham, salmon, egg, strassberg WHATEVER. i guarentee you lettuce will take your sandwich up to the next level. Unless its peanut butter and jelly, in which case, leave it alone.
